Gregada s filetima oslica – fish and potato stew
4 people:
1 kg potatoes (krumpira)
500 gr fish filet (frozen hake or codfish)
100ml oliveoil (maslinova ulja)
300 gr onions (kapula)
½ garlic glove (cesnjaka)
½ bunch of parsley (persina)
1 tablespoon vegeta
Salt, pepper and white wine if you wish
  1. Cut onions and garlic into slices, finely chop the parsley. Cut potatoes in fingerthick slices
  2. Mix the parsley and part of the garlic with some olive oil
  3. Put 50 ml oliveoil in a large pot and sweat down the onions
  4. Remove from heat, then arrange half of the sliced ​​potatoes, than the hake or codfish filets. than garlic and parsley oil. Than arrange the rest of the potatoes and the rest of the garlic parsley mix.  Sprinkle some salt and pepper, add  Vegeta and the remaining olive oil and cover with water (or half water-  half white wine) so it does  cover everything.
  5. Cook it half covered for approximately 30-35 minutes till the potatoes are soft. Don’t stir, just shake the pot occasionally
